Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to manage the inventory of tools and equipment used in our facility. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all tools are properly stored, maintained, and distributed, as well as assisting employees with locating the necessary equipment for their tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized and clean tool crib or tool storage area.
  • Track and log all tools and equipment issued to employees and returned after use.
  • Ensure tools are well-maintained, properly cleaned, and in good working order.
  • Assist in inventory management by performing regular audits and restocking as needed.
  • Ensure that tools are checked in and out accurately, documenting any damage or loss.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to ensure they have the tools and equipment needed for their job.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure that all tools are used and stored in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Report any damaged, lost, or broken tools to the supervisor or management.
  • Assist with ordering new tools and equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or inventory management role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in Machine Shop Industry is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (experience with Zoller CribMaster Software is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
