We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team at our dealership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales and service, with the ability to lead a team of service technicians to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective service delivery.
- Supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties to the highest standard.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring they are kept informed of their vehicle's status and any issues that arise.
- Oversee the estimation and completion of service and repair work, ensuring that all work is done to the highest quality and in a timely manner.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the service department's finances.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism.
- Ensure that all service technicians are properly trained on new equipment and procedures.
- Stay up to date with new vehicle technologies and maintain a working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Coordinate with the sales department to ensure that service technicians are knowledgeable about the features and benefits of new vehicles and can effectively communicate this information to customers.
Requirements:
- A strong background in automotive sales and service, with experience as a service manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in oil change, automotive sales, auto estimating, tire service, and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and build strong relationships.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with vehicles.
- Cash handling experience and the ability to manage the service department's finances.
- Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
